 Our Story

Walt Whitman Elementary School   We opened in 1961.  It is one of sixteen elementary schools in Littleton Public Schools and serves about 400 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Our attendance area extends west to Gallup Street, Broadway to the east, Caley Avenue to the north, and Ridge Road to the south.  It also includes the Southbridge neighborhood, Pinnacle, and Monte Vista areas.

A child said, What is the grass?

fetching it to me with full hands;

How could I answer the child?

I do not know what it is, any more than he.
