Dear Parents,
Welcome to Second Grade! I am excited about a new year of learning with your child.
At Back to School night a packet of information will be given which includes the daily schedule, class rules and expectations and homework procedures. If you cannot attend this evening, the packet will go home with your child.
Please look at the daily schedule carefully, as it changes from day to day. I welcome communication with parents, and am available for phone calls most mornings beginning at 8:00 if you wish to call me however the fastest way to reach me is by e-mail. I can be reached at
polin@lps.k12.co.us.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child. Please let me know if you enjoy opportunities to work in the classroom. I like having parents help whenever possible.
Thank you, and again, welcome to Room 4!
Patti Olin
Dear Parents,
We know that it may be tricky to find time to get to the library and check out new books or sometimes your children may attempt to read books that are a challenge. Although we encourage children to visit the library and find books of interest, we now have a new way for you and your child to read at home! Our new Houghton Mifflin reading series allows children to access hundreds of ‘just right’ books from home by accessing http://eduplace.com/eservices. You’ll find this program to be such a motivator and a frequented website that you’ll want to add to your favorites! We will also have a link on our Literacy Web page
Follow the directions below and enjoy this fantastic opportunity to read hundreds of new books from the comfort of your home.
1. Log in to the classroom account.
